Overview
Due to increasing demineralized water demand, IEC (Israel Electric Company) issued a Request For Proposal for a rent and operation of an effective and small scale demineralized water production containerized plants for a number of its combined cycle units.
Solution
GES designed a unique DI Water plant based on membrane processes only. At the first treatment stage an innovative MFM (Micro Filtration Membrane) was successfully implemented. The second stage consists of single pass RO and FEDI unit, replacing second pass RO. Such innovation allowed to significantly decrease the overall plant dimensions while increasing its efficiency. The whole plant was constructed entirely inside a 40 feet container, providing exceptional mobility and easy plug’n’play installation.
Features
- 90% continuous operating capability
- Unprecedented design based on a membrane processes only
- Compact 40 feet container based plant
- Innovative high effective EDI capable of treating water with high mineral concentration
- Recovered water is returned to the plant for a reuse
- Remote controlled fully automated facility
